Now bring all this crap to a boil and simmer until the meat is tender. Now strain it and save the juice and the meat. The tired vegetables and the bone, ya can sling to the cat or the dog. Now taste the juice and if ya think it needs it, add a couple of beef cubes. Now, add a cup of diced carrott and cook until tender. If ya like add some macaroni and a package of frozen, mixed vegetables. When the vegetables are tender add the meet which you have cut into small bite-siz- e pieces. Of course dont forget to season to taste. If ya got carried away and end up feeling like a bride cooking rice, the left over soup freezes beautifully. The report showed that the district had sold 2,561,588,000 gallons of water to users in Sail Lake County last year. This represents an increase of 12 per cent over 1961 figures or an increase of 265 million gallons. Approximately 90 per cent of the water used in unincorporated area of the county is sold by the water district. Slightly less than half of the water sold was purchased from the Metropolitan Water District. 1,245,000,000 gallons of water came from eight wells owned by the district. The water district has increased its net worth by nearly 10 times since 1955. The happy family of ten made their home in a shelter located on the banks of White River, four miles south of Bonanza and 54 miles southeast of Vernal. The fire was discovered at 5 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 12 and only part of the family were able to escape the blaze which enveloped the entire building. The father. Marion R. Lucky" Madsen, his wife, and three children, Judy Ellen, 11: Betsy Lou 4, and Sammy 2. were burned to death. Survivors are Eddie 14. Pete 12, John 9, Timmy 8 and Mary Jane 5. Residents of Bonanza and Vernal have set up the Madsen Children Trust Fund at First Securtv Bank in Vernal or Salt Lake City which is planned for the education of the five orphaned children. Funds are being raised by donations, dances and other projects. Students and teachers of the class at Ashley Valley Jr. high school where Eddie, the oldest child is a member, presented a check for $365.80 to the bank as their contribution to the trust fund. Relatives have taken the children into their homes. Hie four boys are living with Mr & Mrs Willis Akelund of Vernal, who have three children of their own. Mrs Akelund is a sister to Mr Madsen. Mary Jane is staying with another aunt and uncle, Mr & Mrs Theo Ashton of Lyndon.
