Hanes Dies From Shotgun Wound Charles W. Hanes, 53, 2912 Hillsden Dr. (5275 South), vice president and secretary of the Peerless-UlaCo. for the past twenty years, was found dead in his garage about 6:30 p.m. Thursday with a shotgun wound in the chest. The victim was found by a neighbor, George West, 2922 Hillsden Dr., who went to the Hanes residence to investigate a report by his son that he had heard a shot fired in the garage. Investigating officer, Deputy Sheriff Ferris Andrus, said there was no indication of foul play. Funeral services were conducted Monday for the past member of the Linns Club and Ihe Ambassador Club of Sait Lake. Mr Hanes was born Jan. 10, 1908 in East Liverpjml, Ohio, to Charles E. and Olive Wilson Hanes. He married Frances Weaver on May 16, 1929, in Evansville, Ind, They later were divorced. He married Garnett Russell Snell on May 11, I960, in Mapleton. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Harry and Charles Weaver Hanes, Salt Lake; Hanes, Thornix, Ariz.; a stepJohn son and Snell, with the U. S.
