The 15 year-olgirl rushed out of her residenee at the stroke of midnight to welcome in the new year. In her excitement she broke the glass on a storm door and the glass cut d her arm. Susan's father credited the action of an unidentified woman with savng Miss Gundersens life. The woman put a com-pre- s on the wound to halt the severe bleeding. Smurthwaite, county purchasing agent, announced this week that the Salt Lake County Roads and Bridges De partment has purchased $157,' 161 worth of new equipment to start out 1963. Most of the purchases were heavy equipment to be used in road work. Previous to opening his business in the mall he was employed in the area of Foothill Village most of that time. He intends to emphasize service to the customer's satisfaction as the most important feature in his shop. Joe says he has found that men and boys have their own individual preferences in a haircut and the barber who can satisfy them retains them as prmanent customers. This will be his aim. Aside from his dedication to service, Joe has installed the most modern barber 'finest, shop equipment available. The Italasanos live at 2965 South 2957 East. His wife, Lila, and Joe have two boys and a girl, ages three, five and seven Auxiliary The Meat Cutting College, located on 3300 South and 900 East, in the area a very short time, has recently enlarged its facilities and installed a gener our parking lot in an endeavor to cater to more customrs. Jack L. Brimhall, proprietor and instructor, says, We've found that an integral part of being a good butcher is friendly relations with the public." With that interest in mind, Mr Brimhall enlarged his shop. Good cuts of first quality meat are sold at ecomonical prices. As far as Mr Brimhall knows, his meat cutting school is the only one of its kind this side of the Mississippi.
