Slant has been repeatedly stressed in this eolumn because it and the weight of a writing portray an individuals basic personality with which al other traits are evaluated. The writing in specimen I is the writing of a person who shows his feelings, reacts emotionally to emotional situations, - outgoing, impulsive, generous on impulse, and outspoken when emotionally aroused or at ease with a close friend (the latter is evaluated, using the slender lower loops in the writing as a basis). All of these traits have been discussed in previous columns. Specimen II is the writing of an individual who habitually restrains himself from demonstrating his feelings. It is not a conscious thing. When one finds a writing that is nearly straight up and down, one can know that such an individual thinks first before acting, keeps his hurts to himself if he is al Const. Co.
