WE ALL HAVE REASONS FOR BEING THANKFUL.... MORE. THAN OTHERS.... READ THIS STORY OF ONE FAMILY'S THANKFULNESS. How does it feel to have the world drop out from under you? This happened within the past year to Vera Millet, who now lives at 2210 East 62nd South. Her husband was killed by an accident at the Kennecott Mine, leaving her with 7 children. That's a pretty roughblowl What would you have, a few . months later, tobe thankful for after a thing like this happened? The above picture shows at least one thing. A Home that is being completed by the members of the Cottonwood 3rd Ward. Her insurance provided the money for materials $8,000, but $8,000 will hardly build a hovel these days let alone a home for a growing family of 8. So, Bishop Ralph Garrett and the Priesthood Quorums of the Ward took over. George Ebert was made Super- --s- ome SOME visor of the building and the Priesthood of the Ward have been donating the labor tobuild the House. The project, w hich started last August, will be finished for the family by Christmas. The Home itself is a modern brick split -- level design with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a laundry and playroom, a modern kitchen and double carport. It's the CONTINUED ON PAGE 2 . |
