The finance company received approval for an office to be located at 4835 South Highland Drive in Cottonwood Mall and another at 2085 West 3500 South. Citicorp Person to Person has two other branch applications pending. One site is proposed for University Mall, Orem and the other is at 432 West Main Street, Vernal. The Department of Financial Institutions also announced this week the revocation of charter for the Bank of Kane County in Kanab, Utah for failure to commence business within the legal time limits. According to the department, the proponents have twelve calendar months after approval to establish an office. - Bank of Northern Utah, headquartered in Gearfield, has requested permission to establish a branch in Smithfield, Cache County. Anyone interested in expressing views regarding this application may submit them in writing to the Department of Financial Institutions. istribution First Security State Bank, Salt Lake, requested a location amendment to its branch application filed Dec. 10, 1976 with the Department of Financial Institutions. They are presently proposing to establish a branch bank in the vicinity of 11th West and 47th South; the original application named the vicinity of 35th South and 40th West. According to a letter filed with the Department being in final planning stages for construction of a business complex is the reason for the request. Officials from First Security State Bank were not available for further comment. Utah Bank and Trust received approval from the Department of Financial Institutions this week for a branch bank to be located at 4306 South State Street, Salt Lake City. According to Morris Atwood, executive vice president, construction will begin as soon as the branch receives FDIC approval. Atwood said the bank will use the Builder Manager concept under which Dick Prows, president of Prowswood, Inc. will handle all bids for subcontractors. Atwood also indicated the new branch would be a carbon copy of branches located on Main and 8th South and 21st South 9th East.
