The significant reduc- - tion in number of job appli-droppe- d cants caused the labor market ratio to climb from .804 to .805. Figures ranging from .700 to 1.00 tend to indicate a normal, active market. Figures below the .700 mark indicate signs of recession and high unemployment. Points above 1.00 signal an imbal- anced labor market. The number of non-farapplicants dropped from 2980 from the week of July 17 to 2009 for the week ending July 24. The price fell by 6.2 percent in April after a 3.7 percent climb in February. In May the market showed a gentle recovery; a 1.5 percent step up and in June the price rose again by 2.5 percent. The average sale price for a home in the Salt lake area was $35,608 in 1975 rand $31,602 in 1974.. The average sale price for the first half of 1976 has been $37,666.
