Show The Enterprise Review, November 5, 1976 Page 3b Fashion Fabrics Sells Building Innovative Form Will Save Contractors Money Wallmaster Forms, Inc., a private Utah corporation based in Logan, has a new concrete form that the company claims will save contractors 40-4- 5 percent in concrete costs. The form is fully approved by the International Conference of Building Officials and meets all requirements established for FHA, VA housing. Bevis Register, inventor of the new form, said the Wallmaster forms are also approved for commercial buildings up to 20 feet high. Beyond 20 feet, he said, the 8 inch thick walls are not up to uniform building code standards. The secret of the new form is its special T design that acts like a series of spines supporting the wall, Register said. The unique looking forms are being fabricated in Salt Lake City by Gate City Steel, Syro Steel and Industrial Steel 3-5- Company. Fashion Fabrics has sold for an undisclosed amount its innovation for the building industry to come along in years, and he said his company plans to market the new forms nationally through 62 retail dealerships in all 50 states. Wallmaster also plans to sell the form internationally, he said. Doug Allred, Tremonton, Utah, is the Wallmaster dealer for Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. 2 ft. x 4 ft. form retails for $54; 2 ft. x 6 ft. forms sell for approximately $75 and the largest form, 2 ft. x 8 ft. , sells for $96. Blaine Rich, president and general manager of Wallmaster Forms, said he exects the forms to be used widely in the housing industry. The form is extremely suitable for housing construction because its design allows contractors to replace an 8 inch wall with a comparable wall, that meets all building regulations, and is only 8 inches thick. corporate of complex consisting 151.000 square feet at 2350 So. 2300 West to Robert B. office-warehou- se Swaner Co. of Salt Lake. James H. Cederquist said that under terms of the agreement Robert B. There will, however, be a h primarily non-recurri- ng charge against earnings as of Sept. 30, 1976 of about $500,000 representing Fashion Fabrics interest in the leasehold property and estimated relocation expenses, he said. The company has leased 7,000 square feet of office space and 12,000 square feet of warehouse space in Salt Lake to which it will relocate before Dec. 1, he added. The executive also announced an additional noncash write off as of Sept. 31, 1976 of $100,000 representing leasehold improvements on certain of the companys stores to be closed or non-cas- 3-5- Register called the forms the biggest Action Quickens on Zone Application Warshaw Promotion Salt Lake Citys application to be designated as a Foreign Trade Zone took two steps forward last week.
