Fords and automobiles Horses were also tied to the fence r here and there The yard ard around the door of the house was full of groups of men and boys Some were telling stories and Jollying each other while others were talk- talk Ing earnestly about the crops the thet v t price of produce weather conditions and other topics of general Interest Interest- I Inside Ithe h house use the women had gathered with Just here and there a aman man In evidence The benches had been taken from the corner of the room and arranged d In rows the books had beta gathered up off oft the floor and placed back on the shelves of the cupboard In a rather hit and miss fashion but the door still hung open on the hasp John Miller and Mrs Holt were seated on a long bench behind the teachers teacher's desk engaged n new building which of course we need others have made various sug suggestions some rather extreme in their nature and as a result of this rather unsystematic discussion this meeting has been called tonight What we most need to do I am sure is to become more united and do something to better our condition educationally We have with us tonight Jano Holt a lady Indy whom I am sure you have all met a neighbor who is very much Interested in school matters I Mrs Holt has sent considerable time of late looking up some sarno facts regarding the condition financially o of Or our school district She has other I data also which would perhaps be of Interest to you I shall take the tho liberty liberty liberty lib lib- lib lib- erty at this time of as asking her to speak peak to us Mrs Holt thrilled with what seemed to her almost a mis mis- I slon sion as she stepped before the audience audi audi- ence She had been working very hard for some weeks on this ques ques- tion She had made a trip to
