The start of school usually means the end of summer but that wasn't the case for a class of second graders at Grant school, whose teacher is Mrs. Dortha Otterstrora. In fact, they are preserving a bit of the sunshine season to enjoy all year long. Each child in the class has flowers in all their original beauty by a new method sand drying. Mrs. Otterstrom said the blooms are gently covered by dry sand for 10 days to two weeks. When removed, the flowers are still colorful. Mrs. Otterstrom had tested the drying method during' the sum-me- r and found it "very successful".
