Show Firemen's Auxiliary Installs Officers Socially Spakiiiij A meeting of the Salt Lake County Firemen's Auxiliary whs held Jan. 9. at the Fire Hall. New officers for the coming year were installed with Mrs. Floyd Griffiths named president. Vice president i Mrs. Everett Mrs. Vern Rerger; secretary, Morris; financial secretary, Mrs. Kobert Gerrad; conductress, Mrs. Clair Rasmussen; warden, Mrs. Glen Dean; historian, Mrs. George Gordon. Hen-ager- 's 80TH IUKTHDAY HONORED A family dinner party was held last Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wee-de5537 South State, honoring Mrs. Weeden's father, Ephraim Smith, on his 80th birthday. Twenty relatives were seated at one long table for the dinner. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 1st, 1876, in Ogden, a so n of Ephraim and Elizabeth Hudson Smith. He is a blacksmith by trade and most of his life has been spent in the Salt Lake Valley. He is a member of the LDS church in which he is a High Priest. For several years he served as the presiding elder in the Helper, Utah branch of the church. On Sept. 29, 1897 he married Caroline Fillmore; she died July 28, 1952. They were the parents of five children', the four living ones are; Mrs. Weeden (Leonal; Louis ilxiu) Smith. Vallejo, California; Harold (Harry) Smith, VanNuys, California, and Mrs. Forrest (Vera) Hedrick, Hay-warCalif.; Mr. Smith also has 6 grand children and 13 great grandchildren. n, Twentv-Thre- Mis.
