COOPERATION CAN DO IT In a recent address before the Virginia State Dairymen's Association, Charles II. Baldwin, Commissioner of Agriculture ami Markets of that state, said: "All that we .hope to accomplish through milk control boards and milk marketing agreements that provide federal snpiHirt, could le secured through cooperative efforts of the dairymen "There are many helps, especially hi this disturbed time, that we must have from our state and federal governments, that we would not expect or need under normal conditions. "The fact remains, however, that much of this help would not lie needed if dairymen would cooperate, and as one, unite to work for the desired goal." Secretary of Agriculture Wallace has often observed that one of the greatest problems he has faced In seeking to revitalize agriculture is disorganization on the jxirt of millions of farmers. They are liound by habits of thought, and action that were out of date twenty years ago. And It isu't a coincidence that the farm groups that are really getting somewhere with definite programs such as the cotton producer of the South and the; dairymen of New York are those with strong, loyally supported, aggressive cooeratIve8. Government relief must always In? temjmrary, and It can't work revolutions overnight. CHAOS IN MONKY of the schools expressed the idea that they hofied the exchange of assemblies each year would become a tradition Every student Is back of them, hoplug It will become a tradition. Last Friday, Granite brought their assembly to Murray. They had a very splendid assembly. Num-lier- s rendered were taken from talent of the school. We extend a hearty invitation to Granite to come agalu. The last game played at Davis turned out exceptionally well for Murray. The supjsirt of the student body was surely appreciated by the team. It was thought that It would be difficult for many students to go to Davis on account of the distance. This seemed to make little difference as the band and a large percentage of the students were present boosting the team on to victory. This coming Friday, Murray plays her most lmiortant game of the season with Bingham at Murray. This game means a great deal to both as it determines who will go to the tournament as third place in the Jordan district. Bingham lias au exceptionally fine team, and they mean to fight to the flulsh. Last time Bingham defeated Murray by one point. This isn't again as our teum going to hapiK-Ls going to play as they never played before. Come out and give the team your support, they're goiug to med It ! Geography Test We took a geography test about Africa Monday morning. We boys and girls made ten questions about Africa and the teacher gathered the papers in and selected ten questions. The teacher wrote them on the blacklioard for us to answer. We hope we have answered them satisfactorily. Mlnoru Matsuraori Sixth Grade. ; How Feudalism Began After the Germans got control of the west they overturned much done by' the Romans. They destroyed Roman cities and roads which they failed to keep In repair. Therefore, people's methods turned primitive. After Charlemagne's death a dreadful time of strife and hatred followed. People sought protection from rich lords and became their vassals. The land he bought was called fief or fued and the man who lived on it is called the vassal. The rich lord wanted fighting men and farmers so he made the people his vassals. George Fujll, Sixth Grade. Every fresh report coming from the motor centers is more encouraging than the last. Unfilled orders for both trucks and cars are zooming. Ford and General Xlotors alone are reported to le at least a quarter of a million orders behind. And other industries are racing along with the auto makers.
