Eugene is the sou of Mrs. Eva Jones and the late Mr. Milton AV. Jones. He was born and reared here, where his circle of friends in elude pracitically the population of the town itself, as he has leen prominent in all the social and church activities of the community since a small boy. He graduated with honors from the Murray High School and the Murray Seminary, and is equipped with all the characteristics that make for success in life. At present he is in charge of a service station in Salt Lake. Ills bride is the daughter of Mr. John T. Hand of New York. She is a graduate of the Jordan High School, and is a talented musician. Mrs. Irene Iyiibrum, secretary, read the reports and the officers were sustained. The various department heads gave Interesting talks on their phase of Relief Society work, uiul the new president, .Mrs. Llfa O. Fors, also gave a brief talk. Following are the departments and those who represented them : Mrs. Emma Olson, Theology, spoke on the Doctrines and Covenants; Mrs. Mildred Howe, Literary, spoke on Literature; Mrs. Hannah T. Tame, Social Service, spoke, on Cooperation of the Family and Home, and Mrs. Edith Ferguson, Food ami Clothing, sS'ke on Family Fowl ami the Making of Rugs. Visiting stake officers were Mrs. Lyle Berry, and Mrs. Rliodu Gaufin. MURRAY 1st WARD WILL HAVE NOTED ORATOR CHARLOTTE BURIED Amanda Charlotte Erlckson, 70. died at her residence, 320 Anderson avenue, Murray, Thursday, at 7:25 p. m., of n paralytle stroke. She was the widow of Carl Olaf Erick-so- n and was born In Sweden, January 22, 1SC3. She had lived Iti Murray 40 years, and Is survived by throe sons, Harry, Henry and HerlxTt Erlckson, all of Murray, and a daughter, Mrs. Henry Kanup, of St. Louis. Mo. In a few short remarks Brother Krebs stated that these buttons were presented to each member after twenty years of service In the Y. O. E., as a token of the ILove and Respect of the Brothers and that he hoped that each of them would cherish their Jewel as he does his. He then presented Jewels to the following brothers: Fred Peters, a Tast State President and at present Secretary of Murray Aerie, Charles Anderson. A. J. Tame, Ben Gordon, Wm. Turner, Jr., and P. W.
