Lester, as chairman of "A Greater Murray League" was wholehearted, sincere and effective by each and every one throughout the Murray district. Mayor Lester expresses his conviction to the effect that Murray Day was a full and complete success from every viewpoint. Therefore Mayor Lester requests the Eagle to extend his deep sense of appreciation to every citizen of Murray. He wishes all the organizations of Murray to realize that he counts the success of the day a result of their efforts. The committees, visitors and in fact all present were good natured and enthusiastic, and each one seemed anxious that all should enjoy the day to the fullest extent. Thousands of visitors and residents thronged the ground during the afternoon and evening and not a cross word was spoken or anything expres&ed but good feeling and a spirit of "Pull together for a greater Murray." The Mayor thanks one and all for their fine cooperation, hard and efficient work and the splendid spirit of abounding good nature and community pride display- KXII1BI-HO- AT INION s t George Tahtara, professional strong man from the Pantages circuit of California, gave a wonderful display of his remarkable strength in the show here in Cnio.i on Angst 17th.
