For this reason the Oregon Trad Memorial Association recognizes its obligation to assist in marking all the old western trails, the old "Mormon" pioneer trail being one of the most Import ant concessions have been Special made by the Oregon Trail Memorial Association to Utah in the sale of coins, the entire profit or premium to be retained for thu purpose of marking the Utah trails and landmarks. The coins are standard fifty-cen- t pieces having face value of that amount and are sold for one dollar with the provision that the fifty cents premium Is to be used to chart and mark the trails aud landmurks of Utah. None of the proceeds may be used for any other purpose, not even Including necessary overhead expenses in carrying on the work. This general expense must be provided from oth-- i er sources. At present it is being! raised through the sale of charter metterahlps at $5 or more. S. Church has been issued from the press, and will be ready for distribution in a limited way in the near future. The Hook is entitled "One Hundred Years." It is intended to be not only a record aud souvenir of the Ceutennial Celebration aud Pageant, but also to serve as a reference book in connection with the history, activities and progress of the Church in its first century. "One Hundred Years" contains more than one hundred aud fifty illustrations, including all of the present general authorities of the Church, outstanding leaders, ( both men and women) of the first cent ury, important and unusual events! in early Church history, items of unusual imixtrtauce Iu the Church life of today, pictures of all the Temples-othe Church, and many of the Missions of the Church throughout the world. The book was compiled and edited by George 1). Pyper, under the supervision of the Centennial Celebration Committee.
