Cully, Mr. Drinkwater and Chas. Eatcbel with their wives aed families arrived home last Saturday evening from East canyon, after an enjoyable week's trip. Mr. Cully reports having caught fish galore, one of which tipped the scales to the tune of 0000 pounds, don't you know. He saw a bear while out alone in the jungles and had nothing to defend himself with but a root beer bottle and a dice box, Hnd he said to the beast, "I'll shake you the dice, don't yer know," at the same time being so frightened that he shook like an Aspen leaf, and hollered like a Comanche Indian, which had the desired effect of bringing the party to Mr. Cully's rescue, when it was discovered that the bear was a calf hunting friendly three wmks'-olits mother.
