"Did you ever in all your life see such bold, impudent things?" exclaimed Goldie the Oriole. "Why, they actually take the food from right under the noses of those stupid chickens! If they try anything like that here in the Old Orchard there is going to be trouble. Here they come now. I wonder what they intend to do." But she didn't. When he asked her why, she answered, "Oh, because." And that was all he could get from her. So ho sighed and made up his mind that she didn't have any real reason for not taking that house. It was just a notion that she didn't wa it to live there, that was all. "Are these all the houses that there are?" she asked at last in a fretful tone of voice. "All the empty ones," replied Bully. "There are some very nice cm s which are occupied. Would you hke to look at those, my dear?" "Certainly! Of course! You didn't suppose I would decide on a house untd I had seen all of them, did you?" snapped Mrs. Bully. Mrs. Bully not only looked in, but she went in. She examined it just as thoroughly as she had the empty houses and acted quite as if she had a perfect right there. "It's better than any of the others I have seen, and if we can't find anything else I think it will do," she announced. Little Chippy Sparrow, v. ho happened to overhear her, fairly gasped. "We'll go look at it now," replied Mrs. Bully in a very decided tone, and led the way. But just before they reached Drummer's house Drummer himself appeared in the doorway. Mrs. Bully lock one lo. k at Drummer's stout bill and then quite suddenly changed her mind. "Perhaps we better wait until there is no one at home," said she. Bully's face brightened. "A very good idea, I think, my dear," he answered. "Now, suppose we look at Uie house of Skimmer the Swallow." So once Group To Meet To Urge County Zoning A meeting to formulate a plan whereby Salt Lake County will exercise some control over zoning and building throughout the county will be held at the Madison school Tuesday, June 11, at 8 p.m., it is announced by Mayor Robert R. Fitts of South Salt Lake. The meeting comes in response to a letter received from A. C. Melville, secretary of the East Mill Creek Betterment League, urging the action. "Our league is desirous of having the county exercise some control over zoning and building restrictions through the county," Mr. Melville writes. The county commission does not want to act on this matter until a representative group from the entire county present a plan. "To this end, we suggest a meeting to held of representatives from the various localities, and decide on a plan for presentation to the county commis- "Why, they actually take the food from under the noses of those stupid chickens." she had had a good breakfast. That's the way with some people. If you all want to make them you have to do is to fill their stomachs. Funny, isn't it? Anyway, Mrs. Bully was taking a great deal more interest in what Bully was telling her of what he had discovered in the Old Orchard. "I rather like the looks of the place," said she. "If we can find a good house I think we will stay for the summer anyway. We haven't any time to waste, so suppose we start house hunting right away. I believe you said that you have looked at mest cf the houses. Just take me to the best of them and we will soon decide which one we want and can move in right away." So Bully led the way from one tree to another in the Old Orchard and they inspected every empty house. Mrs. Bully examined each good-nature- d sion. "South Salt Lake is quite central fur such a meeting and if you would care to designate the exact time and place, we will issue invitations to the various localities to attend. "We find the sentiment for some kind of building control to be overwhelming, and it seems that all that is needed is a little organization, and we can enjoy tlie building protection that is had by practically every other large metropolitan area in the west," Mr. Melville concludes. Religious truth, therefore, is that which agrees fully and completely with the plain and clear statements of the Bible; and consequently, everything which does not agree fully and completely with the clear and plain statements of Scripture is false doctrine. But someone will ask: Is it possible to arrive at full and complete religious truth? Are there not many and varied interpretations, of the same Bible statements of truth? To say that there are many and varied interpretations is an insult to God, for thereby we imply that God, Who is the Author of Truth, did not know how to express Himself clear'v. Consequently, it is and must be possible to arrive at full end complete truth in religious matters. There is a way, but only one way, in which this is possible. That way is described in our text for this Sunday. Acs 17, upon the basis of which we shall speak of "The Correct Attitude Toward the Word Of God." In our evening service, we shall continue our scries of sermons on the Lord's Prayer. Taking the second petition, "Thy Kingdom Come." for our text we shall preach on "Our Father's Kingdom."
