It has become an annual tradition for the choir to make this presentation. Music directors far and near see this lovely rendition. Mr. Charles R. like and his assistants have been lalwrlng diligently the past week to make this appearance Just a little better than It was last year or the year before. The bishopric extend an invitation to all ward members to be present Monday The Holy Ghost "We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost," Acts 19,2. Many In our Christian lands would give the same answer Paul received lu fur off heathen L'phesus uiuny, years ago. Other have heard of the Holy Ghost, yet deny His existence; still others do not deny Him but simply ignore Him. Christians believe In Him be cause Jesus says: "The Father wll! send the Holy Ghost". John 14:2C. He Is also known as the Spirit, tin Eternal Spirit, the Spirit of the Llv lug God, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. Dwlght L. Moody said for he had been a church-membe- r seven years before learning that the Holy Ghost Is a Person of the Holy Trinity. Doubtless there are others like him. Some deny that the Holy Ghost Is a Person, saying He Is only a quality or Influence of God. A Christian Mleves that the Holy Ghost Is a IVrson because the Bible sieaks of Him as a Person. He conies, teaches, leads, testifies, reproves, guides, siteaks, shows, glorifies, receives, prays, grieves, distri butes, wills, knows, loves, convinces, searches, helps, works miracles, set? ministers over churches, commands, forbids, can le resisted, tempted, despised, and blasphemed. All this, from the iBiblc, proves the Holy Ghost to be a Person. That He is only an Influence is a heathen notion; that He is a Person is a Christian revolution and doctrine. Are you a Christian? Do you believe that the Holy Ghost is a per son? Everything mat is preacnea, taught, and heard in the services of the Lutheran Church is taken from the Bible. These services are held every Sunday afternoon, at 171 E. 4Sth South. Sunday School at 2:00 p. m. Divine worship at 3 :00 p. m. Tb public la admitted to any of theso services. You arc invited.
