Show MORONI By Special Correspondence Celebrate July 24th at Moroni! There will be something doing from the Midnight Frolic at 12:05 ! a. m. July 25th until July 26th. Serving the barbe'eue Mrs. Marvin Mar-vin Anderson. Sports Amos Draper, Jr. Advertising Mrs. Eliza Bradley. Transportation of pioneers Marvin Draper. Program Officers of the Daugh- 1 ters of the Pioneers. Decoration Mrs. Cleon Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Leo Morley. I Novelty program and stunts Mrs Hyrum Blackham, Jr. and Mrs. Andrew Bradley, Jr. The" flag will be hoisted and the band will serenade at sunrise. A program will be given at 10 a. m. in the West ward chapel. Mrs. Chorlette Bailey will represent Utah for 1847 and Miss Rula Tid-well Tid-well will be Utah for 1932. The Daughters of the Pioneers will entertain en-tertain the pioneers at noon. A ball game, horse races, relay races, novelty program, stunts and a free barbecue will be given at 2 p. m. at the ball park. A Tree children's dance at 6 p. m. will be given at Joyland, followed by a big dance with good music at 9 p. m. Celebrate July 24th at Moroni! Mr. and Mrs. Heber Christensen announce the marriage of their daughter, Edith, and Mr. Hyrum Johnson of Fountain Green. A shower was given in their honor at the home of the bride's parents Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. David Cloward announce the marriage of their daughter, Hazel, to Mr. Ralph Anderson An-derson of this city. They are on a honeymoon trip through Yellowstone Yellow-stone National Park. The many friends of these two young couples wish them success and happiness. The Scrosis club enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ellis Draper Thursday afternoon after-noon wiih she and Mrs. Blaine Draper as hostesses. Refreshments were served to fourteen members. Mr. and "Mrs. Urvin Storey, Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Larsen and Mrs. Ethel Beesley of Salt Lake City visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Storey. Miss Vivian Anderson was a Provo visitor last week. John Guymon has gone to Los Angeles, California where he will study to become an automobile mechanic. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Curtis and Mr. and Mrs. Bernus Hardy of Salt Lake City visited relatives in Moroni last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderson and family and Mrs. Viola Syme attended the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Orson P. Hansen at Spring City Saturday night. Mis. Abe Little entertained the Bridge club at her home Thursday evening. Refreshments were served to twelve members. The East ward Bishoprick en-tcrlained en-tcrlained all members of the Ftitsthood Tuesday night in the chapel. A good program and games were enjoyed. Refreshments were serve!. The Relief Societies of both wards enterta;ned their visiting teachers Tuesday afternoon in their separate chapels. A good program was given in each wavd and refreshments were served. |
