Show I MORONI I By Special Correspondence Wednesday evening the Primary officers of-ficers of the East Ward very pleasantly pleasant-ly surprised Mrs. Marvin Anderson al her home. Jokes and social conversation conver-sation were the evenings entertainment. entertain-ment. Refreshments were served Twelve officers were present. The Sorosis Club held their meeting meet-ing Thursday afternoon at the clut rooms. Mrs. E. D. Anderson and Mrs Lewis Blackham were hostesses. Several Sev-eral business matters were discussed Refreshments were served to the following fol-lowing members: Mrs. Elmo Irons, Mrs. Ray Anderson, Mrs. Marvin Anderson, An-derson, Mrs. William Olsen, Mrs Morgan Lamb, Mrs. Russel Bailey. Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mrs. E. W. Stucki, Mrs. Cleon Anderson, Mrs. Elaine Draper, Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes, Mrs. Mert Draper, Mrs. Ellis Draper, Mrs. John Irons. Mrs. Eugene Des-pain Des-pain was a special guest. Miss Mildred Irons left last week for Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Pete Hansen and family have gone to McGill, Nevada to join her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Christensen of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Christensen Chris-tensen of Shelley, Idaho, Mrs. Lavor Mower and Mrs. Lees Syme of Magna Mag-na were called to Moroni to the bed side of their father, Hyrum Christensen, Christen-sen, who was very ill last week, but is reported to be improving. Several men left town last week to shear sheep. Mrs. Sena Syme has returned home after spending the winter in Salt Lake City. Mr. Bill Bulo left Sunday to go to Richfield where he has employment with the telephone company there. Mrs. Willis Tidwell of Richfield is visiting relatives and friends in this city. She is the guest of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Heber Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Renoldo Syme of Salt Lake City were visitors here Saturday and Sunday. The following Lions and their wives attended the Lions Club Convention held at Richfield Saturday: Bishop and Mrs. Elmo Irons, Mr. and Mrs. Leander Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. James Prestwlch, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Blackham, and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Draper. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Olsen of Magna visited relatives and friends at Wales and Moroni this week. Mrs. Leo Morley has gone to Garfield Gar-field to visit her sister, Mrs.. Edwin Nielsen. Because of the quarrantine Moroni was unable to hold their Relief Society So-ciety Annual Day as planned. The two wards met at the East Ward chapel Tuesday April 2nd. Counselor Liza Bradley of the west ward pre sided. Singing "Our Mountain Home So Dear." Prayer Amina M. Hardy. Address of Welcome Liza Bradley Two saxaphone solos were rendered by Glendale Larsen with Ophelia Rhodes as accompanist. Male quartette Mozart Larsen, Andy An-dy Bradley, Theron Syme, and Erastus Curtis. Reading Miss Vivian Anderson. Duet Mozart Larsen and Stella Tidwell. Tid-well. The concluding number was a one act play entitled "The Photographer.'' Closing song "Come Let Us Anew.' Prayer Bishop Elmo Irons. A hot dinner was served at twelvt oclock noon to one hundred twenty-five twenty-five guests. The day was enjoyed bj all present. |
