Mr. and Mrs. Glen Vance and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Vance and family, Mr. Hyrum Vance, and Mrs. Mary Larsen went to Orem, Saturday, Aug. 31st to attend at-tend a reunion of the Vance family fam-ily association in the Timpano-gas Timpano-gas L. D. S. ward chapel. A bathing beauty contest was held at 5:30 P. M. and box lunches lunch-es were opened at 6:00 P. M. with watermelons and punch served by the committee. A program was presented and a dance followed. fol-lowed. Velma Mowere, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Willis Mower, Fair-view, Fair-view, and Owen C. Stewart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, were married Aug. 27th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee C. Mower, with Lee C. Mower performing the ceremony. A wedding reception was held that evening in the Fairview North ward L. D. S. chapel. A program and dance was held and refreshments were served to about 120 guests. Mrs. Crystal Brady entertained the bridge club at her home Wednesday evening. Scores prizes were won by Lorna Tucker and Twyla Llewellyn. Consolation prize was won by Ellen Turpin. Refreshments were served to 12 members. Mr. and Mrs, Weldon Rigby and son, Mrs. Elmo Green and two children, Theron and La Mond Rigby of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors here at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Rigby and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Whitbeck and daughter, Deane of Dallas. Texas were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Que Tucker and family. They came to attend the wedding of their son, Jack in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Winnie Peacock of Ogden was a Sunday visitor at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hurst and other oth-er friends and relatives. Mr, and Mrs. Ruel Mower are the proud parents of a baby daughter born Monday, September Septem-ber 2nd at the Madsen hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gedig and baby daughter of Salt Lake City, Mr. Harold Carlston of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Nellie Carls-ton Carls-ton of Salt Lake City were weekend week-end visitors, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Carlston. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Mower, Mr. and Mrs, Glen Spencer and son, Leslie of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Mower, Mrs. Eugene Blakham and Mrs. Ray Burnside of Sacramento, California were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Mower. They came from Sacramento Sacra-mento last week end to attend the funeral services in Kenil-worth Kenil-worth Sunday for Mr. Mitchel Burnside. Mrs. Elva Rigby and daughter, Norma returned home Saturday after a trip to Logan, where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Aldcn Rigby. They also visited in Idaho, Ida-ho, and on their return home in Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Guiver of Salt Lake City accompanied ac-companied them home for a visit. Mrs. Sceverenia Anderson held a cottage meeting at her home. After the meeting she entertained entertain-ed at a social given for all Home missionaries of the Fairview district. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Seeley announce an-nounce the arrival of a baby boy born Wednesday, September 4. at the Madsen hospital in Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Seeley was formerly for-merly Lila Garlick of Fairview. This is their first child and the first grand child of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Garlick, and the first great grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Rigby, and the first great great grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gunderson of Salt Lake City were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Rigby. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Larsen and three children of Salt Lake City were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vance. Mr. Larsen is a nominee for Senator from Salt Lake county coun-ty on the Democratic ticket. Donna Bushman and three of her friends of Salt Lake City were visitors Monday at the home of Dona's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Bushman. The Fairview South ward M. I. A. will hold their opening social Tuesday, September 10th at 8:00 P. M. in the South ward chapel. There will be a program and a dance.
