Actually gift giving probably goes back further than that. I believe that Adam and Eve were the first participants of the "fruit of the month" gift giving program. What to give becomes a frustration question for many people this time of year. For some reason much of the family responsibility for gift giving falls upon the female of the household. I believe the assumption is that a female is genetically superior to men in the shopping and the manufacture of arts and crafts departments. This is obviously the result of some evolutionary "fork in the road" deal that Charles Darwin could explain. I was in Provo-Oreover the weekend. My cousins husband told me that he really has good intentions when going shopping at the mall. He is a very physically fit guy who works in law enforcement. He says that for some reason that very soon after beginning a shopping excursion he develops back pain and physical discoififort otherwise. He finds himself needing to sit down on a bench in the mall and ends up just sitting and staring at people as they go by. This, of course, doesnt accomplish much in the way of shopping. I m MT. The Utah Freedoms Foundation Scholarship Fund will cover airfare plus additional expenses for each of the students attending. 462-245- As usual I saw plenty of Sanpeters cruising the mall and elsewhere. There we were spending our Sanpete dollars outside of Sanpete. I believe that the Chamber of Commerce motto should be: "Shop Sanpete First and Last, But We Understand that You May Need to Go North In Between. " There are many things that we can purchase in Sanpete for our Christmas shopping needs. However, its difficult to replicate the shopping experience of a Media Play or a Barnes and Noble here in Sanpete. I imagine that many of you have already completed your Christmas shopping. Again, I believe that most people who are in that category are females. Not only are they genetically better equipped to shop, they are also more organized and better planners than the typical male shopper. Recognition Elder Thad Brown 221 North Adams Ave. Apt.
