I Will, however offer my services as a part-tim- e officer if you like, possibly covering as bailiff, etc. I would like to especially thank both mayors, David Crosland and Roger Cook, whom Ive been blessed to have worked with closely over the past two years. full-tim- I would also mention Barbara Gordon, Alan Morley and David Simmons, who continually strive for excellence in a sometimes thankless mission. I would be derelict of duty beyond words if I failed to mention the relentless service of our court. Both Ned and Kristin Ericksen have and continue to serve with distinction. I must add of the four courts I have had the pleasure of serving over the past seven years, I have not met your current court clerks equal (not by a long shot). I would also like to thank the entire city council, both past and present, for their unwavering commitment to service, for theirs is also very often a thankless job. Dear Editor: Our city and county officials have stated that the building inspection department was going the mobile homes to which were brought into Aspen Village on building permits issued since Dec. 4, 1995. We were informed by a county commissioner that the building inspection department would not charge the additional fee that should have been charged, the difference between mobile home park inspections and subdivisions inspections, but the units would have to comply with all codes and ordinances before they could be rented or sold. It should be remembered that this means from the ground up in order to provide a safe domicile for whomever occupies the units. Telephone: FAX: 462-245- 462-213- DANIEL A. The program will be directed by Karla Coombs and accompanied by Bonnie Bailey. A special number will be sung by Leann Cook and Bonnie Bailey, accompanied by Joseph Cook. The Primary children will sing Picture A Christmas, led by Catherine Henderson. It must also be pointed out that the building permit application form from Sanpete County states: Any misrepresentations or errors herein are the sole responsibility of the applicant. It also states the permit becomes null and void if work on construction authorized is not commenced within 1 80 days or if work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days. Two units fall in the category of work suspended or not started. One was brought to the attention of city officials last July. The mayor stated in a city council meeting that if the building inspection permit was null and void that the zoning permit was also and any units in this category would have to be removed. The doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers and everyone else we came in contact with were absolutely the greatest. Mom still talks about how nice everyone was, considering the seriousness of the situation. My parents were transferred from Sanpete Valley Hospital to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where Mom remained for five days and Dad stayed for 17 days. They are both home and doing better every day. I just wanted to write and say thank you to everyone who helped Mom and Dad in any way. Your professionalism and pleasant manner were very much appreciated. If anyone knows the identity of the extrication machine salesman, or the company he works for, please contact me. At least one unit has been reoccupied, either rented or sold, since these commitments were made. The statement made in Mr. Glauser s rebuttal that, "Under the threat of a lawsuit, city officials issued a permit even though the moratorium supposedly was in effect." (The moratorium was in effect.) How could the city be sued for following the law? This explains the reluctance and vacillation of city officials in correcting these violations of law. When the city officials allowed the moratorium to be broken, they became the violators of the law. Cities have a right to establish and place moratoriums. How can the mayor and city recorder justify without following due process of law, the issuing of zoning permits in direct opposition to a moratorium which was created by the unanimous vote of the city council in a regularly scheduled meeting? Dear Editor: We will not make further rebuttal to the remarks, falsifications and innuendoes represented as "facts" by Mr. Glauser. We will thank him, however, for confirming a complaint we made to city officials that they broke the law by allowing him to bring a class "C" mobile home into Aspen Village, while the moratorium was in effect. The moratorium was voted in by city council on Feb. 13, 1996, for a period of 90 days and Wanda Dahl, Fairview, has should have been effective until been called to serve in the Ivory May 13; however, it was termiCoast Abidjan West Africa LDS nated by city council vote on Mission.
