She was born on March 10, 1933, to Koichi Kanbe and Kimie Yamaguchi in Seki City, She married Japan. Richard F. Christensen on June 14, 1955. They moved to Fair-- , her view, husbands, hometown, in 1956. In 1957 she was converted to the LDS Church. She served in the Primary and Relief Society orga- -' nizations on ward and stake levels. She worked at Wasatch Academy for a year, tutoring Japanese students in English. She loved literature, theatre, classical and opera music, and working in her flower gardens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and daughter, Gaye. She is survived by her children, John Christensen, Orem; Fred ChrisEric tensen, Murray; Christensen, Fairview; Linda Argyle, Albuquer- que, NM; Maria Ricks, Brush Prairie, WA; Cindy Ivory, Price; 18 grandchildren; and two brothers, Shoichi and Mitsunari Kanbe. Burial was at Fairview under the Cemetery direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
