Kjar is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kjar of Manti. He graduated from Manti High School and Snow College, and attended BYU for nearly two years. He was a deputy in the assessors office for 2 years before his election. He and his 10-1- wife, Carol, have five children. Anderson brings 26 years of experience to his new position, 16 of those with the Utah Highway Patrol in Summit County before transferring to Sanpete. He graduated from Bingham High School and attended Southern Utah University. Both parents, Steven R. and Lois Myrup Anderson are Sanpete natives. He and his wife, Judy have six children. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Anderson, graduated from Gunnison Valley High School, Snow College and Southern Utah University where he majored in business. Three die in NM plane crash NEPHI-- - Scott Jorgensen, Steve Lind and Doug Estep were believed to have been killed instantly in a plane crash outside Silver City around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5. Estep and Lind were engineers working for Consultants, a Nephi telecommunications company, and were in Silver City to bid on a contract. Jorgensen was a pilot for Mt. Nebo Aviation, also in Nephi. Mid-Sta- te fiber-opti- cs The plane began having engine trouble shortly after takeoff so Jorgensen told an air traffic controller in Albuquerque that he was going to return to the Silver City anport. The plane crashed in a field covered with mesquite about mile short of the Silver City runway and burst into flames. FAA officials traveled to the crash site to determine what caused the accident. one-ha- lf Meeting slated on area water quality Weather news Citizens of Moroni and surrounding areas are invited to attend an open meeting on water quality and private treatment options for individual homes. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18, at 7 p.m. at the Moroni Middle School. The meeting is being sponsored by Roger Thome, ares sales representative for Culligan Soft Water. All concerned people are invited to bring a sample of the water from their home for free analysis during the meeting. Citizens can also ask questions and participate in discussion at the meeting. MT. She and the car rolled times, landing off the shoulder. No citation was issued.
