Air A Fairview woman, Beth Carlston, 80, was injured Saturday when she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a northbound pickup truck pulling a stock trailer on State Street in Fairview, according to a Utah Highway Patrol spokesperson. Neither Michael J. Fackrell, 39, of Central, the driver of the 86 Ford pickup which was struck by the Carlston vehicle nor his four passengers were injured. Carlstons 86 Cadillac, which was eastbound on 300 North, sustained an estimated $5,000 in damages. The pickup sustained about $3,000 in damages. Carlston, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, was taken by ambulance to Sanpete Valley Hospital where she was treated and released. She was also cited for a stop sign violation. |
