Show Page Six - The Pyramid - June 30, 1993 $686,500 budget set by Fairview FAIRVIEW At its June 15 meeting the city council approved a $686,500 budget for fiscal year 1993-9The council also accepted a museum bond budget of $825,000. General fund revenues are projected at $196,500, with sales taxes expected to total $62,200, up from $50,000 last year. The city anticipates $20,000 in property taxes, roughly unchanged. Other revenue sources include $40,000 from Pioneer Days, $6,500 from a park grant, $6,200 in fines, $5,500 cemetery fund interest, $4,300 sidewalk assessments and donations, $4,300 for fighting county fires and $3,700 in rent. Also projected are $3,500 from the dance hall, $2,000 in franchise taxes, $1,850 in license fees and $1,500 from the liquor 4. Fairview Pioneer Day Royalty named during a queen contest recently include Queen Kristie Woodside of Manti; First attendant Lindsey Cheney of Fairview; and second attendant Alexis Sorensen of Fountain Green. Election to decide CUP in Sevier County The city will make a $20,000 payment on the museum bond; spend $19,950 on school, citizen and donated sidewalks; and use $10,800 for sanitation. Other allocations are $9,600 for cemetery maintenance, $8,750 fire department, $7,000 parks, $6,000 dance hall, $6,000 insurance contingency fund and $5,000 general government. Power, water and B and C expenditures will match revenues. $5,000 perpetual care expenses are monitored separately from cemetery maintenance costs. City Maintenance $5000 has been allocated for street signs. Street and road care is expected to cost $3,500 and maintenance of city buildings and grounds $3,000. Animal control is budgeted at $1,500, Museum bond payments are expected to total $825,000. The council rejected $50 pay increases for themselves. They currently earn $150 per month.
