Pleasant who died on Nov. 29, 1974, in a Provo Hospital of complications after surgery. Mr. Kay was born on May 27, 1903 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, to John and Clara He Wilks Kay. married Gwendolyn Jones on July 23, 1929, in Salt Lake City. She died on July 27, 1973. Mr. Kay was a former manager of Mountain States Telephone Company He was a former member of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club and also served on the Mt. Pleasant City Funeral in Monday Council Soren Larsen N. rites held Survivors include a son, Ted, Portland, Oregon; daughters, Mrs. Margaret Lewis, Corvallis, 4 Oregon; grandchildren, brothers, sisters, Albert W., Salt Lake City; Walter, Idaho Falls, Mrs. Hursh (ann) Idaho; Burgess, Camp Verde, Ariz., Mrs Edith Pace, American Fork. November 30 Funeral services were held in the Mt. Pleasant Second Ward Saturday, Nov. 30, 1974 for the Soren Norman Larsen 86, of Mt. Pleasant who died Nov. 27 in the Sanpete LDS Hospital in Mt. Pleasant of natural causes. Mr. Larsen was born on Jan. 2, 1888 in Salt Lake City to Soren and Katherine He served a mission for the LDS Church to the Western States and filled five stake missions. He served as Justice of the Peace in Mt Pleasant and as City Judge for eight years. He is survived by his wife; stepsons, Wallace Hughes, of Orem, Harold LaMarr Hughes of Kearns, Duane Hughes, of Salt Lake City and a step daughter, W'anda Hughes of Montery Park, Calif , two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Annie) Erickson and Mrs. Ervin (May) Hansen both Salt Lake City. Stock dies December 3 Funeral services will be held p m in the Mt Friday at Pleasant First Ward Chapel for Doyle E Stock, 77, who died Dec 3. 1974 in Hoy of a heart attack Hewashornon June 29, 1897 in Fishaen, Idaho to Robert Ernest and Sarah Ann Young Stock He married Jessie Jack of Salt Lalt City on Sept 16, 1925 She died in Dec of 1970 He was a Veteran of World War II and lived in San Francisco where he was employ ed w ith the City from 1934 until he moved to Mt Pleasant in 1970 Survivors include son, Jack of San Jose, daughter, Mrs Ann) (Barbara Raymond Higdon of Livermore, Calif and five grandsons, brothers, 1 , sisters, dies December 1 Funeral services were held Dec. 4 in the Wednesday, Fairview South LDS Ward Chapel for Matilda Josephine Anderson Peterson of Fairview who died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1974 in the Central Utah Convelescent Center in Orem of natural causes. She was born on Jan 24, 1884 in Fairview to Archibald A. and Bertha Carrine Anderson. She married James L. Peterson on June 9, 1911 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died on June 30, 1965. She was a member of the LDS Church. She received her early education in Fairview and attended Young Brigham Academy. She taught school in Mona and Fairview. Following her marriage the couple made their home in Fairview. After Mr. and Mrs. Petersons death, she lived with her family in Orem. She was a Relief Society Secretary and served as a Primary Teacher. She was a member of the DUP. Survivors include two sons, four daughters; Virgil C. Peterson of Costa Rica, Merrill L. Peterson, Ogden, Mrs. Maruice (Alice) of Colyar Midvale; Mrs. Russell (Ivy) Spencer of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Christensen of Orem; Mrs. S.L. (Bessie) McCafferty of Salt Lake City; 16 17 greatgrandchildren; grandchildren. Pleasant City Cemetery at 2 p.m. for Sina Orthelia Monk Houtz, 89 who had been living in Kerrville, Texas. She died on Dec. 2, 1974 in Kerrville of natural causes. Mrs. Houtz wag .born in Mt. Pleasant on Mqrch 11, 1885 to Thomas Elijah and Sina Johansen McClenahan. She married Glen Monk on May 20, 1907 in Mt. Pleasant. He died in Dec. 1941. She married Mark Martin Houtz on Sept. 8, 1943. He died in Dec. 1965. She was educated in Mt. Pleasant schools and following her first marriage moved to Orem in 1929 until 1943 when she moved to Lindon. She later lived in Salt Lake City and has been in Kerrville since 1967, with a son. She was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include five sons, and one step six step-son- s are Dalton daughter. The next morning, Gerstner Specialties Inc. took out the long used old doors and installed new doors which cost the district about $1,000.
