Odyssey House,, through its public information office wishes to warn the general public that such persons are imposters and do not in any way represent the agency. While it is true that Odyssey House, with its limited funding, does need funds, the agency makes clear that its own fundraising efforts do not include door-to-do- fund-raisin- g n street or door-to-do- solicitations. Such atetivity by these persons is illegal and Odyssey House asks the public to report such solicitors to the police. Charles J. Harrington Assistant Administrator of Community Involvement Tel. As we have been thinking about the article written in this paper by the person that wouldnt sign his or her name, we wonder if this person is a parent and realized how nice it is to have the open ditch in our city covered. This person must never have had the experience of taking his children to the city park and had to worry about one of them falling in the ditch, or the experience of being a mother and had an open ditchin front of her house or running through her yard. Also, we dont think he has ever been a water master and was called during all hours of the night or day to unplug the ditch that was flooding someones property because of the trash that had been thrown into it. And we do mean trash. The ditch was used as a sewer, garbage dump, a place for empty pop bottles and cans, grass and leaves after cleaning a lawn, weeds from gardens, flower buds and many other things. Little children played in that messy ditch, and very often Trainees needed 322-100- 1 The North Sanpete High School graduates of 1922 met in reunion on May 27 at the Mt. Pleasant Second Ward cultural hall. A special luncheon had been prepared in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the graduating class. There were forty-fiv- e graduates that year, the largest class in the history of the school up to that time. A committee of two, Dorothy Jacobs Buchanan of Richfield, and Pearle Madsen Olsen of Salt Lake City, decided to promote the reunion. There had been no yearbook, no school paper in their high school years, and never a reunion since graduation, they felt the fiftieth year presented an excellent opportunity for the class to get together. After months of inquiry and resulting correspondence it was learned that eleven graduates of that year are deceased, and very few faculty members are alive. The remaining thirty-thre- e graduates live in California, Idaho, Oregon, Texas and Utah. Now, we ask, do you still think the open ditch was a thing of beauty? Did you see the work that went into cleaning a ditch every spring? Did you see how the willows had to be cut away and the weeds had to be burned? Did you realize how much of your precious water was lost before it finally got to where it could do some good?
