The award, presented by Colonel Robert F. Zeidner, U professor of military science, was made for service as an executive officer and assistant professor of military science at the University of Utah. Lieutenant Colonel Frandsen is a former members of the Utah National Guard. Following his graduation from Utah State University in 1949, he was second a commissioned lieutenant of field artillery. He has served in Korea, Europe and the United Nations Command. Other awards military received by Lieutenant Colonel Frandsen include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and Army Commendation with oak leaf cluster. Lieutenant Colonel Frandsen is the son of the late Leonard J. and Chloe Frandsen of Mt. Pleasant. He is married to the former Evelyn Christensen, of Mt. Impressive funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Spring City LDS ward chapel conducted by Bishop Osral Allred. Prelude and postlude music by Jeanne Mickel. The ward choir sang funeral hymns conducted by Rose Schofield, accompanist, Jeanne Mickel; Prayer, Farrell McKinney of the ward bishopric; after birth; services held Robert H. Pritle, 8 hour old and Mrs. Thomas baby of (Tonia Lee) Pritle died Sunday December 12, 1971 at 3 a.m. at the Cottonwood Hospital, Salt Lake City. The baby was born December 11, 1971. Survivors are the parents, Spring City. The father is completing a tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force at Tuscon, Arizona. The mother has been with her parents the past few weeks. Also surviving are a sister Mary Edith; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Hansen, Spring City and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Smith, Everett, Washington.
