While he was living in California he was baptized by Lewis Cook during the time Lewis was on his mission. The couple came to Utah to be married in the Manti Temple and have their 8 children sealed to them. This was the first time they had been to Manti. Also visiting with the Cooks were Mr. and Mrs. K. She spent the first week in Salt Lake City where she visited with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mower. Then she left with them to spend two weeks at Fort Lewis, Wash. They visited in Seattle then came back through Oregon and California. In Elko, Nevada she visited with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Allen (Bessie) Morris. When they returned to Salt Lake she spent another week visiting at the home of Mrs. W. R. (Alta) Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Nielson, children Lynette and Craig, Mr. and Mrs. Phares Nielson and daughter Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nielson, all went to the Lars and Marie Nielson reunion held at the G.A.R. Park in Provo Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ivory and three children of Salt Lake City spent the 24th visiting in Ftn. Green. TIva Ockey entertained last Sunday In honor of her mother Mary Ann Mikkelson of Manti on her 88th birthday. Zinna Jacobsen was able to attend the party. She came with Mr. and Mrs. Seymour of Provo. Zinna is now staying at a rest home in Orem. Other guests were Mrs. Demoine (Almira) Anderson of Ephraim; Mr. and Mrs. Ace Blackham of Moroni; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Max of Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tranter of Nephi, Mr. and Mrs. Devon Mikkelson and Connie Mikkelson of Fountain Green. There were several grandchildren also at the party. A lunch was served and the time spent visiting. The Coombs reunion was held last Saturday at Fish Lake. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Coombs, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Coombs, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Coombs, Mr. Lynn Wilson, Robert Deeble and Mrs. Ken Coombs, Mr. and Gary Johnson have been and Mss.
