Show Moroni Final Rite Will Be Held Saturday For Mrs. Dye Mrs. Tranquilla Draper Dye, 73, native of Moroni and a life long worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, died Wednesday evenin-at evenin-at 'he family residence in Moroni Mo-roni of causes incident to ap" S'-o v'ns the widow of the late William Dye. A daughter of William ar1' Ruth II. Newton Draper, Mr':. Dve was born in Moroni Mav 1 186V She married William D"c at the old Salt Lake Endowmc- ' bolide in Salt Lake city June 20 1886. Her church activities included serving as a tea'-her in the Moroni West ward Relief society so-ciety and membership in t''"" ward genealogical society and the Daughters of the Utah Pin neers. Su'ivn-s are three sons nrr1 four daughters: William K. Dve or Roosevelt: Elbert Dve. Sprln" City, and Edmund Dve, Mo"1"'' Mrs. Ruth Rowe. Mona; T-Ir" Harriet Brown. Snringville, and Mrs. Levinia Neuhauser and Mrs. Myrtle Murush, both of Ely, Nev. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and three sisters: Mrs. Ruth Armstrong, Salt Lake city; Mrs. Olive Anderson. Mrs. Marie Daniels received word last Monday of the death of her son, Roger Hyrum Daniels Dan-iels of Ephraim on Dec. Is. Funeral services were conducted Thursday in Ephraim Nort'-ward Nort'-ward chapel. Mrs. Marie Daniels Dan-iels accompanied by Mrs. Annie Neilson attended the services. Mr. Daniels was born November Novem-ber 11, 1901 in Wales, a son c" Hyrum S. and Marie Neilser Daniels. He had resided ir Ephraim since he was 16 years old. He married Erma Delora Paulsen in the Manti lemnlr July 9, 1919. He was a farmer. Survivors include his widow: 10 sons and daughters, M,-s. Max Neilsen, Manti: Paul R. Daniels, Logan; Mrs. Parle--Jones, Price; Mrs. Leath Allred Centerfield, Roy, John, Rawlin Merrill, Alfred and Richard Daniels, Dan-iels, Ephraim: his mother. Ms Marie N. Daniels, Moroni; five sisters, Mrs. Ivan Sparks Mr? The Lions club of Moroni met last Wednesday afternoon at their lodge house on South Main street to carry on the construction con-struction of their new build ing which will be ready for usr-in usr-in the near future. Literary CHib Hears Donna Peterson The Literary club was enter tained last Wednesday even::v at the home of Mrs. Blanr Johnson where a most delight ful program was enjoyed. Tr program was as follows: readings read-ings by Donna Peterson, son"'- by Jeanine Matson, piano solo by Mary Louise Madsen, all of Mt. Pleasant. A delicious hot dinner was then served. Ruth Christensen Gives "Household Hints" The Jr. Sorosis club was entertained en-tertained last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Deneice Blackham where the time was spent- in playing "Rook", afte'-which afte'-which "Household Hints" were given by Mrs. Ruth Christensen A most delicious hot dinner was then served. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moss and family of Grand Junction, Colo returned to their home last week after visiting with relatives and friends here. Mrs. Heber Christensen ha" received word of the arrival of a new granddaughter. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Guy-mon Guy-mon of Salt Lake. Miss Delia Kolstrom of Mt. Pleasant is convalescing at he--home following an operation at a Moroni hospital last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Christensen Chris-tensen received word Thursday of the arrival of a grandson a' the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fr-p Pleuger of Los Angeles. The mother was formerly Miss Florence Flor-ence Christensen of Moroni. Mrs. Ethel Bailey returno'5 home this week after visiting for a few davs with relatives in Provo and Salt Lake city. Mrs. Mennels Draper returned home from Salt Lal-o r-itv lie week following an operation at j( V a Salt Lake hospital. t '' The West ward MIA enjoyed i a special treat last Tuesday eve- ' ning when a girls chorus of 20 " voices from Spring City was present and sang three numbers. They were directed by Mr. Ernest Ern-est B. Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Anderson An-derson of Richfield spent Monday Mon-day with relatives and friends here. Larry Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson of Fountain Foun-tain Green is at a Moroni hospital hos-pital where he underwent a", operation for appendicitis last Friday. Mrs. Rena Nielson left for Los Angeles last Saturday and w'll spend a month visiting with . relatives and fr'ends there.
