Show 8. L. Couple Wedded 50 Years Nov. 1 1 In observance of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Christensen, 854-2nd East, will be honored Nov. 11 at an open house reception from 4 to 9 p. m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gordon E. Edgar, 1311 Westmin-i Westmin-i ster ave. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen were married Nov. 13, 1895, in the Manti L D S temple. Mr. Christensen is an employe of a local furniture store. The couple have six daughters, Mrs. L. L. Hoagland, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Merrill Parkin, Bountiful; Bounti-ful; Mrs. Robert Baxter, Mrs. Lambert Lam-bert Michie, Mrs. Harold Eldredge and Mrs. Edgar of Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. f ' A : V V ' 1- Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Christensen Christen-sen .. . Await golden wedding. Maurine Brady, accompanied at the piano by Miss Le Nila Young. A reading was given by Mrs. Eva Hand. A vocal solo was sung by Mrs. Oleah Cox, her accompanist was Mrs. Ida Day. A talk was given by Arthur Day. A duet was sung by Mrs. Emma Evans and Mrs. Lucy Tucker. Closing remarks re-marks were given by William E. Bohne and the closing prayer was offered by Bishop Howard W Rigby. After the program a dance was held in the Amusement Amuse-ment Hall where a very large crowd attended. Mr. Day left Sunday for the Mission Home in Salt Lake City where he will spend a week before leaving for the North Central States mission. mis-sion. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sanders are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl born on November 2nd. Mrs. Sanders and baby are at Dr. Madsen's hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Pleas-ant. Mrs. Mable .Williams of Long Beach, Calif, and Mrs. Nellie Nel-lie Allred of Salt Lake City visited vis-ited at the home of their sister, Mrs. Clista Peterson for several days last week. Mrs. La Retta Stewart Allred of Hill Springs, Alberta, Canada is visiting in Fairview with relatives rela-tives and friends. This is Mrs. Allred's first visit in Fairview for eight years.
