Show Moroni Couple Celebrate 50th Wedding Event Mr. and Mrs. Jabez Faux of Moroni celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, December 3 when all their children and grandchil-drern grandchil-drern came Lor a family dinner. Friends were invited to call at I'.ieir home icetween 2 and 5 p. m. Tney were married in the Ma.vt. Temple, December 3, 1U91, by President Anthon H. Lund, and have lived in Moroni ince that time, where they i.ave been very active in civic and Church affairs. Mr. 'Faux served a two-and one-half year mission in the Southern States after their marriage. mar-riage. He was in the Moroni ward bishopric for twenty years and has worked as Sunday School Superintendent, M. I. A. superintendent, and High Councilman, Coun-cilman, tne position he now holds in the Moroni Stake. He has been an active member of the ward choir for fiiJty years. He has served as Mayor of Moroni Mo-roni City, as' a city councilman-, and as manager of the Consolidated Consoli-dated Mercantile Company for many years. Since his retirement retire-ment he has busied himself at farming and poultry raising. Mrs. Adela Eliason Faux has been active in the Relief Society and ior many years worked as a visiting teacher. During Mr. Faux's term in the bishopric she had the privilege of entertaining entertain-ing many of the Church authorities author-ities at her home, and she is known as a wonderful home-,maker home-,maker and mother. Mr. and Mrs. Faux are the parents of twelve children, seven sev-en of whom are living: F. J. Faux of Spanish Fork; Mrs. Ruth Nielsen and Ford D. Faux of Beaver; George Faux of Moroni; Mo-roni; Mrs. Pauline Thompson on' Ephraim; Mrs. Julia Swan of fcalt Lake City; and Allen Faux ot Las Vegas, Nevada. They have twenty-ifour grandchildren, grand-children, and one great-grandchild. |
