Show "Bluegrass Elixir" is the live band featured as part of Moroni Citys Fourth of July festivities. ' The Slash C Rodeo will pro- vide spills and thrills at the rodeo arena on Friday evening at 7:30. Following the rodeo, "Pistol I Rock" will provide the music for ; a youth dance at 9:00 at the ; tennis courts. : Saturday will feature: side- : walk sales on Historic Main ' Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the Backhoe Rodeo at 10:30 a.m. ' at the rodeo arena; Tearti Pen- -' ning, 1:30 p.m., at the rodeo : arena; the concluding Slash C Rodeo performance, 8 p.m., at - the rodeo grounds; followed by : an adult dance at 9 p.m. at the tennis courts with music by "Jun- ction 89." On Sunday, the art gallery at the Manti Library will be open from 7 p.m.; then at 7 p.m., F. Alan Coombs will speck on Home "World War II-Front" at the Tabernacle. July Fourth activities will take place at city park unless otherwise noted and will start off with the American Legion Breakfast from a.m. A ceremony will be conducted at 10 a.m., then a fashion show at 10:15. The booths will open at 10:30, featuring food and games, then a musical program will be presented at 10:45. Games will begin at 11 with foot races, then continue as follows: noon. PLEAS the Fourth of July holiday on July 4, the news and advertising deadline for next weeks Pyramid will be Friday, July 1, at noon. All advertising for the Pyramid Shopper must be in the office by 10 a.m. Friday, July 1. News should be given to Pyramid correspondents so they will have time to prepare it and get it to the office by the deadline. The office will be closed on ANT-D- ue Monday. Louise Johansen 7-- ! A chuck wagon breakfast will be served from 7 to 9 a.m. at city park; everyone should bring their own dishes and utensils. A flag raising and presentation will be held in the mini park at 9 a.m. by the Utah Civil War Association. She was bom in Mt. Pleasant on Nov. 10, 1920, and grew up in Koosharem. She returned to live with her grandmother, Hannah Clark, for her junior and senior years in high school, and graduated in 1939. MT. PLEASAN- T- Mt. Pleasant City and the Slash C Rodeo will be bringing what promises to breakfast, and the fun run sponsored by the youth city council. The childrens parade will march down State Street at 1 1 :00 a.m., followed by the mammoth parade at 1 1 :30. : MT. PLEASAN- T- Louise Bagley Johansen has been named grand marshal for this years Hub City Days mammoth parade on July 4 at 11:30 a.m. Slash C Rodeo ng s. Hub Citys grand marshal Fireworks at the park will conclude the weekend as soon as its dark enough. A 7 a.m. flag-raisiceremo- will be conducted by the VFW ny at city park. Also at 7 a.m., at the park, will be the early bird ! Bagley Johansen After attending Henagers Business College in Salt Lake, she worked as a secretary for several years until she married Grant L. Johansen on Oct. 24, 1942, in the Manti LDS Temple. They were both active in church and civic activities. Grant was a counselor at North Sanpete High School until retirement. Louise was a leader, secretary of the Sanpete Democratic Party, chairperson of the Heart Fund drive for several years, and served as chairperson of the Lady Lions Jayceettes who sponsored the Miss Mt. Pleasant queen contest and helped to make many of their floats. 4-- H . She worked at Valenes Floral. She has taught in all auxiliaries of the LDS Church, has been Young Women and Relief Society president and served on the North Sanpete Stake Relief Society board for 22 years, 14 of which as president. She served a mission in Sacramento, CA, in 1982 and has been a temple worker in Provo and Manti since that time. Presently, Louise is a member of the Fine Arts Club, serving in all offices, and a member of the Hambleton DUP for which she is :crapbook editor and historian of he Sanpete North Camp. She is dso a member of the Mt. Pleasant Historical Association and is their scrapbook editor. Her hobbies include cake decorating, poetry, scrapbooks and writing histories of people and places. Louise and Grant have four children (Joe, Kent, Connie and Christine), 19 grandchildren and 11 ng ed Sanpete County Economic Development Director Joe Blain and Mayor David Crosland presented Nedra Allred, Moroni Credit Union Manager, with a First Buck Award and welcomed her and Moroni Feed Credit Union to the city. |
