To add interest to this drive they have sent their members to different states to help farmers in their state to get members. The past week 20 members into Utah to help with the drive into Utah to help with the dirve here. We had two of these members come into our area. Pleasant First LDS Ward chapel for Pauline Hafen Seely, 91, who died September 11 atl:30 a.m. in a Salt Lake City Hospital of causes incident to age. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jacobs Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to time of services at the same place. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery. Mrs. Seely was born in Mt. Pleasant, September 4, 1882, a daughter of Jacob and Lizetta Ott Hafen. She married R. Bruce Seely October 12, 1902 in the died He Manti Temple. February 5, 1962. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints and active in the DUP. Mother of ten children, eight of whom survive her. Not far from their area farmers were almost completely flooded out two weeks ago. They use tile ditches to get their water to the fields instead of cement. Those of us who got to visit with these two men found it very interesting and enjoyed their stay in Sanpete. Family of Theodore Christensen Funeral held for Sarah E (Lyda) Holman Carter, 89, died September 5th, in a Provo Rest Homp of natural causes She was a native of Fountain Green Born January 31, 1884, at Fountain Green, she was the daughter of James Isaac and Lucy Roundy Holman She was educated in schools of this area She married Arthur Elmer Carter, on October 8, 1903, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple He died September 15. 1952 She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Surviving her are a son, James Clair Carter, Dragerton, two daughters, Mrs Fern C. Francom, Nephi and Mrs. James E. (Reva) Swenson, Moroni, 27 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sat. Sept. 8 in the Moroni chapel at 1:00 p.m. with John Ramsey of the West Ward bishopric conducting The family prayer was given by Don Francom. Born May 19, 1891, Moroni, to and Helena Jensen Christensen. Married Archibald Paul Christensen May 24, 1911, Manti LDS Temple. He died Nov. 25, 1969. Active member LDS Church, Relief Society chorister 48 years. Member of Peter DUP.
