Show Marian Christensen Dies In Salt Lake Marian Christensen, 13, daugh. ter of District Judge George Chris tensen and Mrs. Frances Ellison Christensen of Price, died at the family's apartment in the Annie Laurie apartments in Salt Lake at 5:15 a. m. Tuesday. She had undergone un-dergone two operation during the past summer for stomach trouble and had been at the L. D. S. hospital hos-pital until last week when she was removed to the apartment. Judge Christensen is judge at Price in the seventh judicial district. dis-trict. The child was an active student at the Price junior high school, from which she was graduated with honors last spring. She was in the annual school play and opera last year. She was also a member of the Knighthood oi Youth, The Tribune's children's club, and was frequently a contributor con-tributor to The Tribune, Junior'. She was one of the first members of the club, joining January la, 1928. Tne girl was born in Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, September 11, 1917, and had jived the greater part of her life in Manti and Price. Surviving are her parents, four brothers and sisters: Mrs. Willarci Barton of Salt Lake: Dr. Que Christensen of Shelley, Ida.; Harold Christensen of Chicago, 111., . and Miss Florence Christensen of Price. The body was taken to Price on liiesday night where funeral services serv-ices were held Thursday. The body was brought from Price to Mt. Pleasant Friday morning and funeral services were held in the Mt. Pleasant North ward chapel at 2 p. m. with Bishop Henry P. Olsen in charge. The opening song was by the ward choir "Tho Deepening Trials." Tri-als." Other musical numbers were vocal solo, Miss Alice Peel; quartette, quar-tette, "Lead Me Gently On," by Mr. and Mrs. George Squire, Mrs. H. G. Erlcksc-n, Bishop A. L. Peterson; Pe-terson; violin solo, Professor" Sar-doni; Sar-doni; choir, "Jegus, Lover of My Soul," with specM vocal parts by Lorrainne Beck and .Mrs. Ferry Peterson; the closing sojjj: by the choir was, "He Died, $he Great Redeemer Died." The invocation was offered ii)y Bishop A. L. Peterson and the benediction by William Olson, Speakers wore: President H. C. Jacobs, Judge Dilworth Woolley, President S. M. Neilsen, E. C. Dal-by Dal-by of KsJ.t Lake and Bishop Olsen. Sentiments .sent by the Price Sem inary was read by A. H. Anderson. Pres. Daniel Ramussen dedicated the grave. |
