Show Pioneer Woman Dies at Nampa Following Illness Relatives were advised here Wed. of the death in Nampa. Idaho ot Mrs. Diantha Bramsted Swensen, Tuesday afternoon. .Mrs. Swensen v. as one of the earliest settlers of Mt. Pleasant, coming here in the early sixties and has lived here continuously" con-tinuously" since until going to Nampa Nam-pa five years ago to make her horns with her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Air-met. Air-met. She was born in Norway, November 5, 18.15 and came to Utah with her husband, Andrew Brair sted in the early sixties, after having hav-ing embraced the Mormon faith in their native land. Mr. Bramsted died in 1887 and in 18SS she married mar-ried her dead sisters husband, Andrew An-drew Swensen to whose children she became a mother. She is survived by the following sons and daughters, Joseph Bramsted and Mrs. Bertha Airmet of Nampa, Hyrum Bramsted of California, Mrs. Clara Ryland of Oregon and Mrs. P. M. Mc Arthur ot Melba, Idaho, and by the following nieces and nepiiews whom she rear-eil, rear-eil, Severin and Andrew Swensen of St. Anthony Idailio, .Mrs. Bert hi Brotherren of Squirrel, Idaho, P. W. Swensen of Magna, Mrs. C. T, Madsen and Mrs. Burt Wright of Mt. Pleasant. The ibody was brought to Mt. Pleasant Thursday, for burial here. Largely attended funeral services were iheld in the Souh ward chapel this afternoon for Mrs. Swensen, Bishop A. L. Peterson presided at the -ei vices and prayers were offered by Bishop James Larsen, and Henry Hasler. Mrs. Obed Nelson sang, "O My Father" and the choir sang ''I Know That My Redeemer Lives," with Mrs. E: R. Poulsen 'as soloist. The speakers were Christian Johansen, Johan-sen, C. W. Sorensen and Bishop Feterson. The grave was dedicated by Andrew Larsen. |
