Show FUNERAL HELD FOR VERNON MCINTOSH I Mrs. 3. E. Jensen of this city has been very ill for several days, but is improving at present. Largely attended funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the South Ward chapel for Vernon Mcintosh, Mc-intosh, youngest son of Bishop and Mrs. A. E. Mcintosh. rue services ' were in charge of Mads Anderson, ' first counselor to Bishop Mcintosh, i The invocation was offered by Christian Chris-tian Johansen and Joseph Davis pronounced pro-nounced the benediction. The speakers were W. D. Candland, Henry Hen-ry P. Olsen and Mads Anderson. 'Appropriate music was furnished by the ward choir and Mrs. Obed A. Nel-json Nel-json sang "O My Father." The 'Misses Ilia Larsen and Ethel Lund sang "Sometime, Somewhere." Miss Venetta Stanfield sang, "O Dr Those Tears" and "The Vacant Chair" was sung by Thomas Tomlin-son. 1 Vernon Mcintosh served overseas during the world war and six ex-service ex-service men, Francis Neilson, Fair-,'eld Fair-,'eld Larsen, Edward Orton, James Jordan, Sterling Ericksen and Newton New-ton Clemensen carried the flagdraped casket. The many beautiful floral offerings were taken care of by th ladies of the Service Star Legion. A long automobile cortege followed to the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Joseph G. Schofield, Scho-field, Sr. of Spring City. Vernon's death was due to an ncntp sotbtp attack of Sugar Diabetis. He lapsed suddenly into a dialectic coma about 4 a. m. Sunday from which he never regained conscious-nes. conscious-nes. He passed away Tuesday at about 10 A. M. |
