Show Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Dorothy Brotherson Funeral .services were held Saturday at 1 p. m. in the South ward chapel for Mrs. Dorothy Hutchison Brotherson, who died at her home in this city on the previous Wednesday. Bishop J. Seymour Jensen presided pre-sided during the service. The choir sang "Rock Of Ages" and Elder Joseph Johansen offered of-fered the opening prayer. The choir sang, "Though Deepning Trials Wend Your Way." Supt. Keith Thondson of Wasatch Wa-satch Academy paid tribute to her memory and a trio, "Abide With Me," was rendered by three Wasatch girls, Helen Peterson, Sheri Poulsen and Ruth Huntley. Elder Nelson Johansen spoke of her life and character. A vocal duet, "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose" was sung by Opal Scoville and Mrs. Keith Allred. Bishop Ephraim Nelson of Moroni Mo-roni paid tribute to her memory and Bishop J. Seymour Jensen made the closing remarks. The choir sang, "I Need Thee Every Hour," and Elder Frank Shepherd offered the closing prayer. The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Elder Wilford West and burial under direction of Ursenback Funeral Home. Major L. R. Christensen has been home on leave to visit with his family at Mt. Pleasant during the past weeks. He is serving with, the Military Police and is stationed at Fort Lawton, near Seattle. The Military Police are entrusted with the duties of City Patrol work and Guard duty of vital installations. |
