Simons,. at Fifth South and Third .West, after a long illness from JTt ..cardiac insufficiency. 'a Mr. Anderson was born at Mt. Pleasant in September, 1863, a son of early pioneers, Mads and 94 Carlena Anderson. He married Christena Peterson 8i of Mt. Pleasant in the L D S En-1 l'i rdowment house in Salt Lake 5 9 '. He had served as coun-1 w ;selor in the ward bishopric; as ward teacher since he was 14 years old, and also as Sunday 1 school teacher. Thursday in .'the South ward L D S chapel : under direction of the ward bish- M opric, with Elder Harry G. Erick- Nl sen conducting. K The opening song, "Rock Of Ages" was sung by the ward choir. a Elder Frank Shepherd offered ,,. the opening prayer. The choir also sang, "Count Younr Many Blessings." Elder A. H. Anderson, Mrs. Wm. C. Olsen and Bishop A. L. Peter-H Peter-H son paid tribute to his memory, li A trio, "Jesus Lover Of My Soul" was rendered by Opal Scoville, Mrs. Ruth Jones and 1 James Monsen. Elder Joseph Johansen and Bishop H. P. Olsen spoke of his life and character. A letter from a friend, Mrs. El-len El-len Kurr of Salt Lake City sent to the Bishopric to the family was read by Elder Ericksen, who made the closing remarks. The choir sang, "I Need Thee Every Hour" and Elder Nelson Johansen closed the services by I prayer. The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Elder Joseph L. Lund and burial was under direction of the Jacobs Mortuary. |
