Show Mrs. Grace Nielson Kane Of Sigurd Buried Here; Is Victim of Paralysis Mrs. Grace Nielson Kane, 50, wife of J. N. Kane of Sigurd and formerly a resident of Mt. Pleasant, died of paralysis at her home Sunday Sun-day evening, April 8th. her death terminating an illness of only a few hours duration. A brother, A. H. Nielson cf Los Angeles, arrived from California a-bout a-bout 2 p. m. the day of her death to pay her a visit. A scant half hour later she was suddenly stricken. strick-en. She lapsed soon into unconsciousness uncon-sciousness from which she failed to rally, death coming about 7:30 p. m. Mrs. Kane had been under a physician's phy-sician's care for the past year, but her condition had not been regarded regard-ed as serious, and her passing came as a severe shock to her friends and relatives. Funeral services were held at the Sigurd ward L. D. S. chapel Wednesday Wed-nesday at 10 a. m., after which the body was taken here for burial. Brief graveside rites were observed at the family plot in the local city cemetery Wednesday afternoon. . A large number of relatives and friends from Sigurd and other points in Sevier county, also from Salt Lake City, Rupert Idaho and California, were here for the burial bur-ial service", where William Olsen dedicated the grave. Mrs. Kane was born in Sprint City March 24. 1881, a daughter cf N. P. and Mary Davidson Nielson. The family removed to Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, where she lived prior to her marriage about 24 years ago to Mr Kane. She has lived subsequently at Sigurd. She is survived by the husband; a son, Allen, of Los Angeles, Ca'.; a daughter, Hester, of Sigurd; three brother;, N. B. and Real Nielson cf Rupert. Idaho and A. H. Nielson of Los Angelss. |
