Show Friends Fete Woman On 100th Birthday Scores of congratulatory messages mes-sages and gifts were showered on Mrs. Hannah Madsen Aldrich, pioneer Utahn, at a celebration Sunday honoring her 100th birthday birth-day anniversary. Although the anniversary was on Monday, open house was hold on the preceding pre-ceding day for relatives and marc than 300 friends from many po.nts in Utah. Mrs. Aldrich, who personally greeted all the guests, said "it's the best birthday I've ever had. The open house was held at the home of a son, O. M. Aldrich of 173 East Main street. Gifts and flowers were re-ce re-ce ved from numerous close friends and aquaintances throughout Utah. Senders inch in-ch ded Hcber J. Grant, L. D. S. church president, and Mrs. Grant; Mrs. Robert L. Judd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant who called at the Aldrich home; the Old Foiks Central committee of Salt Lake City; the Mt. Pleasant chapter, Daughters of Utah Pioneer Pio-neer Historical association, of which Mrs. Aldrich is a charter member. She was born in Denmark October 14, 1840. |
