Show t I 1 MORGAN t I 1 y if f A very profitable hour was spent tuesday afternoon in the M H S auditorium by the teachers and pupils of the elementary grades the principal mr larson exhibited three very interesting te and educational films about the important countries of canada mexico and brazil mrs gilbert flaherty of morgan returned home from the hospital sun daly january 7 after being there two weeks her many friends will be glad to learn she is improving rapidly mr and mrs norman kendall and family were visitors at the home of mr and mrs james compton sunday mr and mrs wayne are rejoicing over the arrival of a new daughter born december 19 1944 mrs ross rickson who is confined in an ogden hospital is improving at this writing mr and mrs airs reginald A barnes of ogden visited sunday at the home of mr and mrs J P baird of milton J M logan night operator at the union pacific depot has been unable on account of illness to perform his duties there for the past six weeks his many fr friends ends in morgan will bo be glad to learn he is improving and soon will be able to regularly assume his duties again mrs milton minor and children iva lou milton jr and gayle visited with mrs R B robinson sister of mrs minor they returned to california monday mrs J E peterson of evanston wyo has been visiting with her daughter mrs R B robinson mr and mrs earl salmon of ogden were visitors at the home of mr and mrs L S bell sunday mrs A B carrigan amy randall and mr and mrs charles rich attended the funeral of mrs heber randall in north ogden ward chapel on tuesday january 2 daughters of utah ta pioneers lo mt aft joy camp will h hold old a me meeting t ing at the home of hattie heiner friday january 26 at p m all members are invited mrs L S bell was hostess at a birthday stir surprise prise party friday night for her daughter loraine fun games and progressive rook were the entertainment tain ment of the evening after which a hot dinar was served those present were the misses suzann wright bonnie welch donna vest mary beth geary and camilla fry cordel scott bob francis lamar burnett dick wright donald vest grant francis and the guest of honor the american legion and auxiliary met in regular meeting monday evening sixteen members were present and plans were made for the visit of the state officers which will take place at the next meeting january 22 the committee on christmas cards reported that cards were sent to boys in the service going to boys overseas some boys in service may have been missed but only because their address was unobtainable |
