Show I 1 OAKLEY NOTES born march 11 1 1 to mr and mrs mark peterson a bouncing baby boy all concerned doing nicely mrs golda gibbons has been very sick the list last week suffering froin nervousness and high blood pressure L G christensen Chrls has been ex excavating ca and getting material for a residence just south of the oakley amusement hall last friday the south summit high school faculty entertained the parents by inviting them to attend school where the parents visited from room to room and having explained to them the methods of teaching which was a real treat to the parents luncheon was served at noon and after lunch cars were at the school to furnish transportation to the amusement hall where a program was rendered followed by a basketball game between the seniors and a picked bunch from rom the rest of the school the seniors won the game the next game was between teams picked from the visiting parents and crittenden d of kamas carlyle of woodland i rob frazier and rocker johnson of oakley were the greens mr lambert of kamas marchant and neil of peoa geoa anderson of marion and neal were called the whites this was a very ek citing eiting game which was enjoyed by all the score being 10 to 8 in favor ot of whites the ath ath and ath grades put on an operetta saturday night which was a grand success the school presented mrs walton and christensen with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in appreciation of their efforts in training them the ladies brought beautiful beautiful baskets of lunch which were auctioned off to the highest bidder the high school orchestra furnished music and a lively dance was enjoyed by old and young an old time dance was enjoyed wednesday night the relief relict society annual day was ws honored by the citizens of oakley A program in the forenoon at the inee meeting ting house where a pageant conducted by mary pearson peal son was the main feature A picnic was enjoyed at noon the relief society hall which has just jost been baen painted and thoroughly cleaned was dedicated by president stevens A dance wass was enjoyed in the evening |
