Answer: This is a common practice and many hunters see nothing wrong with it unless you arc one of the half of all hunters who do not kill a deer. When a husband buys a license for his wife and uses that license, he is actually using two tags and no one is allowed two tags on the genet al deer hunt. W hat usually happens is the husband kills on opening morning, tags it with his wife's tag and then continues hunting. W hen this occurs, I consider that the individual has just stolen an opportunity for me or some other hunter to kill that deer tagged with the wifes license. When I check deer on the opening day of the hunt, most of the women afield have their deer , but the poor man looking tired with blood all ov er him has not seem a single a small deer buck. I am not labeling all husbands-wive- s as cheats but only those where it is obvious that the little lady doesnt know how toeven shoot a gun to say nothing of shooting a deer.
