"If a veteran cashes in a GI policy, all protection is said Douglas Wadslost, worth, director, Sait Lake City Veterans Administration Regional Office. But if money is borrowed against the policy, and the veteran dies, then the face amount of the policy is paid to the beneficiary - less an amount withheld to repay the loan plus any interest. That interest currently is 1 1 percent annually. Wadsworth said that a veteran can borrow up to 94 percent of the cash value of a GI policy, and no repayment plan is required. If the interest isnt paid, then it is added once a year to the loan principal. He cautioned that the Veteran should be careful not to let the loan principal plus the accrued interest total the cash value of the policy itself. If that happens, the policy protection may cease. "Of course the veteran must continue to pay the Wadsworth premiums, added. And always it is wise not to borrow from the policy unless it is absolutely necessary. But it is nice to know that a GI policy provides a financial cushion. -- Slaughter Lambs: Feeder Lambs: Slaughter 1500-200- a Salt Lake Firm Will make Its monthly tour of southwest Utah and will be parked at the Fillmore City Building or In the Reading Room for your convenience: Ewes: Barrows 10.00-18.0- 54.00-57.1- 0 0 42.00-48.0- 46.00-48.0- Wednesday, August 4, 1982 and Gilts: Feeder Pigs: Weiners: head. Vine St., Murray, Utah 84107 BY 1 The Division of Wildlife Resources is back in the business of raising chuckars. Between 1951 and 1968, 185.000 chuckars were released throughout the state. Since that time many of the flocks of chuckars have disappeared from the original stocking states. By the end of May about 5.000 young chuckars will be released in Utah, Juab and Millard counties to rejuvenate the chuckar populations in these areas. About 500 chuckars will be kept as brood stock for next year. At present time there are no plans to hatchery raise pheasants. Like everything else this program is extremely expensive and the hatchery reared birds do not do well in the wild. Once a population has been started, the birds are on their own to survive or die off.
