Charge reduced in Fatal Accident case In Judge Ron Hare's Justice of the Peace Court on Tuesday, June 29th, Darrell Jeff Baker of Fillmore agreed to plead guilty to a reduced charge of Negligent Homicide, according to Deputy County Attorney Clayton Huntsman. Baker was originally charged with Automobile Homicide, a third degree felony, in the accidental death of Jon of Meadow, a passenger in his vehicle at the time of the fatal accident. Huntsman said Baker has also agreed to pay a $1,000 fine in addition to full restitution. Baker will be arraigned in Judge Owens Circuit Court at a later date, probably on the 12th or 13th of July, to enter his plea. Huntsman said, He appeared to be contrite and maybe for the first time realized the importance of the driving laws, and has had no previous alcohol realted driving offenses. Negligent Homicide is a Class A Misdemeanor. In exchange for the reduced charge, the County Attorney's Hunstman said, Office has insisted that he agree to pay the $1,000 fine plus full restitution, which included any funeral expenses or any other expenses caused by the event, that he agree to surrender his driving privleges for one year. Even though the Gass A Misdemeanor charge isn't technically alcohol related as is the case with Automobile Homicide charge, that's still a condition. He said the County Attorneys office will go along with whatever penalty Adult Parole and Probation recommends. v Friday July 9, 1982 Millard County Commissioner Ben Robison has been accused of gross malfeasance of office in several instances cited in an Accusation filed with District Court Judge J.
