While the daughters were quilting at their monthly meeting on Feb. 15th, Dathel Whitaker completed reading the life histories of her grand-wort- h and grandmother, Sarah Melissa Hakes and great grandparents, Collins R. Hakes and Mabel Ann Morse. The lesson entitled Life of Elizabeth Starley Whicker was given by daughter Marguerite Harris. Those in attendance were: Jean Phillips, Peggy Rogers, Utahna Be mis, Helen Lula Rogers, George, Marguerite Harris, Dathel Whitaker, Rula Christensen, and DUP officer, County Roma Bird. Lynn and Peggy Rogers have received their mission calls to serve in the Texas Houston Mission. They will be entering the MTC in Provo April 1. Wednesday, Feb. 17 was a very special day for Chris and Barry Green, who were baptized by Bishop David Christensen in the Kanosh Ward Font. This fine couple was given the missionary lessons by Seventies, Doyle Shumway and Phil Blad. Besides a large group of friends in attendance, were the Greens two children and Chriss two sisters, Ann Leach and her husband Bob of Kanosh. and Virginia Maher from farewell Hawaiian Gardens, Cali- forma in the Long Beach area. Chris and Barry have purchased the Howard Stott home. We welcome this good family into our Ward.
