substance and one class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia The maner was continued to June 19 Dustie Joe Murray 21 appear for sanctions of probation violations and sentencing for two class A misdemeanor charges unlaw ful sale of cohol to minors and avoiding apprehension The court sentenced Murray to serve two one year sentences in the Millard County Jail to run consecutive Murray is to serve 8 months straight time in the jail He may quest work search or work release after serving 8 months After one year Murray may request a review of his sentence degree felony charges disarming a peace officer three third degree ony charges taunt or tease a police service animal damage jail and taliation against a witness one class A misdemeanor avoiding apprehension and two class C misdemeanors domestic violence battery enhanced and intoxication Defense Attorney James Slavens told the court that Stephenson has been grossly overcharged and that there is nothing in the police report that shows he disarmed any one and there w as not cause for arTest Slavens argued the bail was too high Prosecuting Attorney Brent Berkley told the court that the State believes there is more tlian enough ev idence to make the charges and the $25000 cash only bail is appropriate The court ruled that bail was appropriate and the matter was set for preliminary hearing on May 22 Katie Jean Callahan 8 appeared in custody for initial appearance and pre trial conference Callahan is charged in two different cases with one class A misdemeanor bringing prohibited items in a correctional facility two class B misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia Callahan is also charged with two class A misdemeanors possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia Bail was set at $3500 and the matter is scheduled for waiver hearing on May 22 Afton Dale Callahan 47 appeared in custody for initial appearance Callahan is charged with one second degree felony possession of marijuana and two class A misdemeanors possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous weapon Bail was set at $3500 The matter was continued to May 22 31 apTerrence D peared and pleaded guilty to three class C misdemeanor charges false personal information to a police officer open container and speeding 101 75 has previously been sentenced on federal charges Jeffery Sprague 19 appeared in custody for return on bench warrant Sprague has been found guilty of one third degree felony joyriding and one class A misdemeanor criminal mischief Sprague was ordered held until Adult Parole and Probation has formation to complete a pre sentence report Sprague is to be sentenced on June 19 Tyler James Hardy 18 appeared for initial appearance Hardy is charged w ith three second degree felony charges of burglary of a residence: three class B misdemeanors theft and two class B misdemeanors possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor The matter was set for waiver hearing on May 22 Randy Wavne Cotton 22 appeared for waiver hearing Cotton is MPrd County Chronicle in another county He was ordered to verve 90 days in the Millard County Jail to run concurrent w ith hn federal sentence Toby Dan Russell 39 appeared for review hearing Russell is currenl-lin the Millard serving a sentence County Jail for one third degree subpossession of a controlled stance Defense for Russell told the court that it has been six months since Russell was sentenced to one year in jail He is currently on work release and has stayed clean The court agreed dial Russell has been on track during bis incarceration and dered that he serve two more months and be granted a review of sentence If Russell continues with no
